Fittipaldi Puts No. 54 Kodak Pontiac Back In Front
The fifth hour opened with the Spirit of Daytona No. 09 CITGO Pontiac Crawford making contact with the wall exiting the chicane on lap 109 with Robby Gordon at the wheel. The SpeedSource No. 70 Ford went behind the wall on lap 120 for repairs. Max Angelelli took the lead on lap 121 in the SunTrust Racing No. 10 Pontiac Riley. A full-course caution came out on lap 127 due to the Southard Motorsports No. 7 BMW Fabcar becoming stuck. At the end of hour five, Christian Fittipaldi had put the Bell Motorsports No. 54 Kodak Pontiac Doran JE4 back in the lead. The Orbit Racing No. 44 Porsche GT3 RS continued to dominate the GS field with a two-lap lead, while the Doncaster Racing No. 91 Porsche GT3 Cup led the SGS class.
