First News

Russell Wittenberg reports the frustrating news that the timing & scoring was not operating correctly at the start of the Tests, so no times for the morning session. Correction: Times are now available and have been posted.

So not a great deal of news yet, but more later, once the timing is fully functional. Here are some items of interest.

The #10 and #9 Genesis BMWs are straight six powered, and won’t run V8s until more testing is completed.

The #27 Lista Crawford team are happy so far, their test at Virginia having gone well. The chassis is apparently better than the Ferrari already, but there is a hint of a little apprehension concerning engine durability over 24 hours. They will contest all GARRA events, but no ALMS (not in budget). Didier Theys is in the car.

Schumacher Racing will race their regular GT2 Porsche. They do own the ex-Rohr GT1 (former class winner here), and intend to use it for the rest of the GA season, after the Rolex.

The #09 Flis Motorsports Camaro (first in AGT 12 months ago) could have been replaced by a Corvette this year but they will stick with Camaro, at least for the Rolex.

#22 is one of the Archangel Lola B2K / 40s………

….while this car needs no explanation.

Kyle Petty will apparently be driving a GT3RS entered by by Michael Colucci Racing, sharing with by Leo Hindery, Gian Luigi Buitoni and Peter Baron. The second MCR Porsche will be for by Richard Millman, Tommy Byrne, Tony Kester and Colucci himself.
