Bob Akin Motorsports make the track for the last session with #83 R & S Ford, chassis #01, with Mark Simo and Norman Simon among the drivers. The latter is hot foot from Adelaide – and the Rafanelli disappointment there.

Gunnar Racing produced their 911 GT1 for the last session, and it was straight away close to the pace of the #0 Bytzek GT1. Left front shock problems hampered their times with the GT3RS, but the car is apparently an improvement on the GT3R.

There are two Marcos Mantaras here, but only one has run so far, into the 1:55s.

The #0 Bytzek GT1 was smoking badly from right tailpipe in the last session, but continued to run.

The Crawford steadily improved its times, finally getting into the high 1:45s, five seconds off the ultimate pace.

The times from the three sessions are presented together on one page – and there’s the Intersport Lola sitting at the top, more than a second clear of the quicker Dyson car. The Champion Lola is close to the Robinson R&S, these two third and fourth on the day.

The Corvettes and the quickest (TRP) SRPll are well matched at around 1:48 / 1:49, with the Saleen’s best time a 1:50.663. The Spencer Kudzu was fractionally faster than the Downing example.

The Mosler’s best effort was a mid 1:58.
