Francesco Di Pietrantonio, who is CEO, main shareholder and chief of the design team, explained the situation to Francesco before the recent Monza race of the Italian Prototype Championship.<BR> <BR> It seems that in April, after having accomplished the first 2001 crash test of the car, the FIA apparently changed the crash test rules, according to Snr. Di Pietrantonio. Because of this change, Picchio needed major adjustements to the project. With the prospect of other new rules for the 2002 season, Picchio considered it too expensive to create effectively a new car to run in only few races this season.
