The Alain Menu / Rickard Rydell Prodrive Ferrari 550 was fastest in free practice at the Hungaroring this afternoon.
The second session only dried out at the end, so the times weren't all necessarily representative, but the Ferrari was at the head of the list with a 1:39.797 in the second session. This was a tenth slower than the lead Lister managed in the morning, and three tenths slower than the Larbre Viper's morning time - but it was still a very good start to part two of the Prodrive car's racing career.
"My aim is to win one or two races by the end of the season," suggested Alain Menu.
Christophe Bouchut suggested that his Viper's problems in the last two races were more to do with a down on power engine than the 100 kg of ballast he's been carrying around. A fresh engine for Le Mans seems to have made all the difference. And they won with the down on power engine...
