Mike Haines Racing |
Off To The Spanish |

The words used in Mike Haines' press release are interesting - "Following on from the debacle of the ISC (Invisible Spondoolicks Contrick) meltdown, Mike Haines Racing will be at Estoril this weekend to compete in the Spanish GT Championship with the Lotus Esprit.
"A last minute deal has been struck for the team to run regular UK driver Chris Ellis and Malaga driver Mario Guarnieri, who impressed the Haines squad with his pace when he drove for them in Barcelona last year."
Mike adds that the team's second car is on the point of being fired up for the first time, an event that may occur just before they leave for Portugal, or straight after the team's return. "Watch this space," is his comment on the future for this popular team, which seems well on the way to turning around their difficult start (to say the least) to the 2001 season. Fingers crossed that others can fight back as well.
NB. Thanks to Graham Goodwin's 'Dictionary of Slang', we find that there are six acceptable spellings of the S word. Choose from:
Spondulicks
Spondulics
Spondulix
Spondoolicks
Spondoolics
Spondoolix
Unfortunately, all six spellings still add up to bugger all money.
