No information on times, but some very experienced ears detected that the engine wasn’t the twin turbo V8 but was in fact the W12 that has been tested infrequently by Stephane Ortelli and others in a Lola B98/10.<BR> <BR> Dr. Ferdinand Piech has been singing the praises of this power unit for years, the W12 having first appeared in 1997. It could have ended up in a VW Le Mans project, but will it (has it?) finally found a home in the Bentley? Are the VW group hedging their bets for the time being?<BR> <BR> Photos of the Monza test are expected here later today – no sound track unfortunately.
