Courage / Vanina Ickx / Test Day |
|
David Legangneux reports that testing of Pescarolo’s Courage C52 will now take second place to work on the new C60, which is now scheduled to take to the track for the first time at the end of this month.
It seems likely that one factory Courage will take part in next year's Le Mans, probably with a Judd engine, but nothing is definite for this popular team, which is still in dispute with Nissan over engines.
Vanina Ickx, daughter of Jacky, has tested a Belmondo Viper and is at least a possible to race one of the team’s cars at Le Mans next year.
The Test Day on May 6 will be officially timed but the times won't be used to eliminate any entries – that decision will be made in the existing, ‘conventional’ French way. All the cars will apparently run at the same time, not like this year with prototypes then GTs. |
