Darrian – presumably with a pair of them – were the first team known to have signed up for the ISC. For those not in the UK, this is the series that is in the process of being created to rival the successful Privilege Championship.
Now comes news that Rob Schirle’s Cirtek Motorsport are planning to enter two Porsche 911 GT2s in the Interactive Sportscar Championship in 2001. “We’ll be running the car that won at Barcelona, plus the High Price / John Robinson Roock car. A lot of people are talking to us after the Spanish results. We’re building up the second car now, and we’re expecting the ISC organisers to give us more favourable restrictors that the BRDC do.”
That won’t stop Schirle running in the Privilege Championship though. He’s anticipating entering two Porsche 996s in the GTO class. It should be apparent why this news is tucked away in the “Elsewhere” section, shouldn’t it? |
