Stephen Stokoe returns to the Privilege Championship this weekend - and Rob Schirle will be hoping he does too. Schirle has been down to race a couple of times this year, but hasn't actually got in the to race.
The pair are down to race in Cirtek's 'new' Porsche 911 GT2. Rob Schirle explained that "I imported it from the US, and it is an ex-Roock evo car, the sister car to the Tech 9 example, but I think you'll be surprised with it's pace if Stephen and myself get to grips with it quickly".
"I have yet to try the Porsche but I know it will be a very competitive
car," reckoned Stokoe. "I have been working at Cirtek for the past three months, and since we received the car two weeks ago I have been involved the build process. So if something falls off I guess the team will blame me!"
"I drove a GT3 for PK Sport some months ago and then, I got within two tenths of Terry Rymer's time, and he was pushing hard, but everyone tells me that the GT2 is easier even though it has more power. I will just take it one step at a time and approach the race methodically"
The GT2 is painted as a 'negative' version in terms of colour to the similarly Mettoni-backed GT3.
