Apparently the whizzo American surgeon didn't actually replace the joint; instead he welded a bit of bone from somewhere else with steel gauze and did the job that way (the lads at the workshop are a bit disappointed that we didn't let them have a go actually).<BR> <BR> "So, assuming no post-operative complications, he could be out of hospital in a week or so and ready to start recuperation.<BR> <BR> "A sad footnote: the Union Jack suit is no longer.<BR> <BR> "Were he saying more than his current mumbles, he would undoubtedly like to thank everyone for the kind wishes that have been deluged upon Ward D8 at Queens Medical Centre."<BR> <BR> Thank you, Chris.
