It's still early to be talking about Daytona, but certain British teams are gearing up for the event.
The HKM Viper GTS is a distinct possibility for the Rolex 24, while Cirtek and PK Sport - both with Daytona experience - may need to miss the Test Days as they're both likely to enter the Adelaide ALMS race.
'Daytona experience' for Cirtek includes the fact that they're planning to enter the 1999 class winning Porsche in 2001, with a "surprise driver line-up," according to Rob Schirle. "This car beat the Corvettes and the Oreca Viper then, and we're sure that a strong run will see the car in with a chance of a podium position. It will of course have all new running gear for the 24 Hours. We'll be entering the GT3R too." |
