Zero, One Or Two Wins |

David Legangneux has been chasing news of Henri Pescarolo's appeal against exclusion from the Estoril result - and other news relating to that other win.
David explains that Henri talked for three hours yesterday with the Portuguese judges, but a decision has not yet been taken. The ruling will be released in two weeks.
Meanwhile, last Sunday at Magny-Cours could have seen a second disappointment for the team in green. To gain some extra downforce, strakes (see photo) were added to the nose after the first practice sessions (and so after the technical scrutineering) and were used for the race. But the highest part of these added elements were a little higher than the front wheels axis, and this isn't allowed according to the FIA-SCC regulations - but is allowed in the ALMS regulations (another difference between the two series that had surprised Henri Pescarolo).
So after half an hour of joy, it was an hour of waiting and worrying............but after the deadline for another team's objection and an OK from the FIA-SCC scrutineers, the result of the race was official, two hours after the finish.
So, one win is still in the book, what about the other? This is one more reason why regulations need to come together as soon as possible.
