The back to back BTCC races are giving Triple Eight a few problems.
Ian Harrison, director of Triple Eight Race Engineering, explains: "Our biggest problem is the lack of time between the races. We have three cars with a great deal of bodywork damage, not to mention replacing radiators and other things that were damaged at Snetterton and very little time to do it. That is on top of what we would normally do to the cars between each meeting. It is not the best position for anyone to be in with back-to-back races. It has made it hard for all of the teams in the championship, not just us."
Peugeot should have a spare chassis, as Dan Eaves' crashed one was a fresh one for Snetterton. The Lexus came through unscathed, while the JSM Alfas' problems are nothing to do with accident damage.
Phil Bennett's car looked immaculate on Saturday morning at Snetterton. |
