Three ALMS Races |

A tentative debut with the R&S MKlll C at Sebring will now be followed by three more ALMS events for Rob Dyson's C model - now that the Grand Am is almost over for this year. The car will be taking in the Mosport. Mid-Ohio and Petit Le Mans races.
"We know that the new car isn't quite fast enough yet," remarked Butch Leitzinger. "We've done some testing, but we need real-world experience with it to see what improvements we need. We're going into these races with our eyes wide open."
'Real-world' is an interesting expression to use for the ALMS.
James Weaver will be partnering Leitzinger in the two shorter races.
The Dyson car will receive a restrictor break for the two shorter events, but not at the Petit Le Mans. "That's a big incentive for teams like us to join in," said Leitzinger. "No one wants to have any special breaks with the factory teams; you want to take it to them on equal footing. But at this point in the development of our car, it's a good incentive."
1999 ALMS Chanpion Elliott Forbes-Robinson is the logical third driver at the Petit Le Mans.
Weaver and Leitzinger lead the Grand Am Driver points by 27 and 14 respectively over Didier Theys, with one race left.
