Martin Short and his Rollcentre crew have packed their cool suits for the trip to Knockhill this weekend. Plus "drinks bottles and freezer bags to place in delicate areas of the body!"
Is he expecting a heatwave in the Dunfermline area of Scotland? No, but they're off to Japan straight afterwards, for the Suzuka 1000 Kms.
The car had a run up and down the runway at Duxford the other day, "and reached an accurate 155mph into a headwind, which is around 6 mph more than we saw in the Cerbera last year, which shows how slippery through the air the car is."
Speed 12 driver Michael Caine was involved at Duxford, Shorty pointing out that "he has obviously forgotten how to operate a conventional gear lever (his Speed 12 has sequential gears) and managed to go from second to first gear whilst accelerating up the runway. Fortunately, skilful pilote that he is, he caught it and no harm was done! Though I did ring him later and told him he had ruined the engine....and he fell for it!"
