"It’s a true racing car, with a very efficient engine at high revs. You need to know its limits to get the most out of it. Although we’ll have to wait for Austria to know more, I think it will give us a significant increase in performance." Those were Jean-Pierre Jarier's words after testing the Lister at Dijon earlier this month.
For whatever reason, Francois Lafon didn't drive the 2000 championship winner at Dijon, and he didn't get to drive it at the A1-Ring until Saturday morning's first Qualifying session.
The car was pulled up after 8 laps of the A1-Ring race, with Jarier smelling something burning. The team felt that this a piece of rubber on the exhaust - it fired up and ran perfectly after the race.
Now it seems that Lafon and Jarier will go back to the ART Viper for the balance of the season.
