Brent Gates looked a likely winner of the Canada GT Challenge Cup event at Mosport last Sunday - until retiring with....what? Dave Goadby reports that on more thorough investigation, TMI Racing reports that they've determined that the early departure of the Stealth B6C from last weekend's CGTCC race was not caused by a front spindle failure. There had been a complete failure of the front right wheel bearing. Since a new wheel bearing had been properly installed just a few days earlier, a faulty bearing is suspected.
Gates' Stealth dropped from second to third place in the series Championship points as a result of the DNF.
