MSB Ferrari 360 |
|
Eva Salleck has confirmed that the trio of Ralf Kelleners, Kelvin Burt and Marino Franchitti will definitely debut the MSB Ferrari 360 Modena GT at Petit Le Mans next month. A few problems remain such as the logistics problem of shipping the car by air.
The new car, built by MSB, has already been given high marks by lead driver Ralf Kelleners during it's initial shakedown. The A.C.O. was due to give the 360 GT the final approval last week but the members found themseleves stuck in Los Angeles after the ALMS race and unable (like thousands of others) to get a flight. MSB, headed by the very experienced John McLoughlin, has worked closely with the A.C.O. with regards to building a GT in the spirit of the rules.
And of the driver line up? Eva has worked with Kelleners before and the duo of Kelvin Burt and Marino Franchitti just wrapped up the GTO class of the British GT Championship aboard a Porsche 996. The younger Franchitti is hungry and ready to move on, many say he is faster that his brother Dario, and Marino has a friend in Allan McNish. And when asked if she had tried to coax Nishy in to the new GT Ferrari, Eva replied with a laugh, "Of course, but MSB does not have a Formula One budget."
