American Viperacing has "pulled out all the stops to upgrade our cars to current specs.," explains Eric Burch. The team are "confident that even with the increased field it will fare well in class and overall at the upcoming Petit Le Mans." Tom Kjos reported on the upgardes that were ongoing at Laguna Seca in the reports from that event.
American Viperacing also announces that its cars for the 'Audi Presents Petit Le Mans' will run tributes to those fallen victims of the recent terrorist attacks in the United States.
The final piece of AVR news is that Carsport regulars Mike Hezemans and Jeroen Bleekemolen, plus Anthony Kumpen, will drive the #45 Viper at Road Atlanta. AVR has also recently come to terms with sportscar veteran Rick Fairbanks to run in the #44 AVR Dodge Viper GTS-R.
