It's a great shame, but the 2000 Privilege GT Champion won't be present for the Night Race this weekend - at least in a race car - so his Privilege season actually finished at Thruxton, in what turned out to be a very disappointing run (for mechanical reasons) in the Dave Welz Porsche.
That partnership didn't continue at Brands Hatch, at which point there did seem to be a good chance that Cor Euser would bring a Mantara to England for the last Privilege round. "We couldn't put the finance together for Silverstone," explains Calum, "so we're looking at other events before the end of the year."
That should include the Zandvoort 500, then a long test at Albacete before a crack at the Estoril 6 Hours on November 25th. Next stop after that will be the Rolex 24 at Daytona. |
