The NCK Marcos LM600 #19 will be driven by Ian McKellar and Philip Hopkins this weekend. "Decent car, decent co-driver, hopefully a podium," summarised Philip Hopkins. This car has had two podiums already - both at Brands Hatch (Robin Liddell / Geoff Lister 2nd, and Andy Purvis / Phil Bennett 3rd).
Graham Nash is equally pleased to have these two in the car; the Bristol man drove this chassis at Donington Park earlier in the season, while McKellar started his season in Cor Euser's second Mantara, before switching to the Saleen in the ELMS.
The second LM600 will be racing in a lesser event at Oulton Park this weekend, giving Mike Newton some more miles in it before he goes to Spain (Valencia and Barcelona) with NCK to conclude the Spanish GT Championship. A partner for him there has yet to be decided, so an email to Graham Nash link from suitably qualified drivers might not go amiss.
Meanwhile, Geoff Lister takes over from the FIA GT-bound Tim Sugden at the Night Race, partnering Paul Knapfield in #63.
Correction: 24 hours later, most of this is out of date already. See later item re "Ian Astley Returns". |
