Double SRWC champion Vincenzo Sospiri will join John Nielsen at Den Bla Avis Panoz for the rest of the year, starting with the Donington event on August 27. A second Panoz should also appear at Donington in the hands of Karsten Ree and Frank Ludwig.
Ben Collins will race the Harrier (its race debut) if testing at Mallory Park confirms the potential of the car.
The Kremer Lola - a non-appearance at Brno - will not be at Donington either. Its next event is likely to be the Nurburgring. Christian Gläsel and Christian Vann are no longer driving for the team. "It is a great pity," said Erwin Kremer, who believes that the car still has winning potential.
SRWC links with Lola and MG mean that there will be three MG support races at Donington, and entry to the meeting is free to Rover and MG drivers who bring one paying passenger.
Stanley Dickens - a former Le Mans winner - has apparently acquired a Lola to debut at Magny Cours. |
