Saturday’s Privilege pole sitter Nigel Greensall revealed exclusively to TotalMotorSport that he had started out in motorsport by blatantly cheating!
Super quick all weekend in the Stealth B6, Greensall told TMS that the racing bug had bitten him very early. His first passion had been racing not karts a la Ayrton Senna, but Scalextric cars.
“Thing was I used to cheat a bit” he confessed “I built up my own cars and actually raced one with two motors fitted.”
Whilst the first qualifying time for the Stealth was thrown out after the rear diffuser was found to be marginally too high, the scrutineers never did discover that second V8 in the glove compartment!
Nigel actually enjoyed so much success with slot car racing (single-engined ones), one victory helped fund his first (real-sized) race car.
