Esses Change |

"AUTOSPORT" magazine has picked up on news of changes to the Le Mans circuit, on the entry to the Esses.
With the new layout, the run down the hill from the Dunlop Bridge will now be followed by left and right 'sweepers', before the cars dive into the original left hander of the original Esses.
Simultaneously, the hairpin right at this point of the Bugatti Circuit will be moved up the hill slightly, creating more run off for the motorcyclists who use the permanent track. The new left - right will mean that motorcyclists will approach the hairpin rather slower than under the present layout - and they'll have more run-off too.
Work will commence next month. |
