The future |
|
Following the recent departure of Totalmotorsport’s editor, Malcolm Cracknell, I felt it was necessary to maybe put a few people’s minds at rest concerning the future of the web site.
Malcolm has been an extremely important asset to Totalmotorsport over the past eighteen months, combining his love and knowledge of the sport with his exceptional flair for writing that has made him unique in the sports car racing world. Everybody who has had the pleasure of working with the man will know exactly what I mean; Malcolm is totally dedicated to Sportscar/GT racing, often getting frustrated with the lack of vision shown by some of the organisers. Everybody at Totalmotorsport is sorry to see him leave.
Now that the season is effectively over, the next evolution of TotalMotorSport will take place. TotalMotorSport constantly strives to improve the content of the site by acting upon the different areas that our readers ask for. Over the coming months will be increasing our overall coverage of motorsport by introducing other series to the World Headlines section. A free daily e-mail subscription for latest updates will be introduced together a WAP/SMS service for immediate race results and qualifying positions.
The trade section will be having a major overhaul with the introduction of a larger colour advertising section and an easier to use system for those wishing to place an advert. A team merchandise section is being introduced to allow racing teams from all over the globe to promote and sell their team wear from a central market place, without any charge to the team!
We are also looking at the introduction of a world trade news section, to allow the motorsport industry to show off their latest developments to the racing world.
For TotalMotorSport, currently the world’s third biggest motorsport web site, this is just the beginning.
