Once Cor Euser took the decision to build a rear transaxle version of the LM600 and call it a Mantara, it was always going to be a long road back towards entering 24 hour races.
Daytona was likely this year until sequential gearboxes were excuded; now Euser is aiming for Le Mans in 2001, for which he'll have to build a narrower-track version of the Mantara. 10 cm will have to be removed from the width of the car. Such a pity that rules are essentially similar, but different. |
