The team will run a total of five BMW Touring Cars, with the addition of two BMW Speed GT cars.<BR> <BR> After finishing second in Touring Car points in 2000 and 2001, Sapp will return to the No. 55 BMW 325is which carried him to a season-high four wins in 2001. He looks to famed "duPont horsepower" to help carry him one step better in 2002.<BR> <BR> "I'm looking forward to the new schedule because I think it will favor my style of driving," said Sapp. "The street courses and the race at Virginia International Raceway, where I have competed previously, should play into my favor.<BR> <BR> "We're hoping to take the ball from 2001 and run with it. Sebring seems to favor the BMW. I'm pumped because I think that No. 55 is going to be potent."<BR> <BR> Sapp will pull double-duty for the entire 2002 season, also running one of the team's two supercharged BMW M3s.<BR> <BR> DuPont again returns to the driver's seat of his No. 51 BMW 325is in 2002. The 2000 Laguna Seca race winner hopes to avenge a disappointing season in 2001, which actually ended with him on the sidelines in Road Atlanta after a motorcycle accident left him with broken ribs. DuPont will share driving duties in a second new E46-bodied, supercharged M3 in Speed GT events.<BR> <BR> New to duPont Motorsports Touring Car stables are rookies Raan Rodriguez, Chris Gleason and Rick Gilhart.<BR> <BR> Rodriguez, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, joins duPont after watching the team score consecutive one-two finishes at the season-ending Road Atlanta doubleheader. A racing veteran of various forms since 1984, Rodriguez will drive the brand new No. 50 BMW 325i.<BR> <BR> Gleason, of Johnstown, Pa., may be a rookie to Speed World Challenge competition, but he has extensive experience in sports cars and open wheel competition since the 1970s. In 2001, Gleason recorded top-10 finishes in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Gleason will pilot the No. 53 BMW 325is.<BR> <BR> Cincinnati's Gilhart is relatively new to road racing, but turned in a silver-medal performance at the 2001 SCCA Valvoline Runoffs® driving a Touring 2 Honda S2000.
