The Englishman has finished second three times in his career at the desert circuit.<BR> <BR> The team has been tweaking its venerable Riley and Scott mk3 since the car's last outing at the Sebring 12 Hours, where Weaver finished fourth overall along with Elliott Forbes-Robinson and Butch Leitzinger. Weaver is confident that the car will be competitive.<BR> <BR> "We've had a good setup the last couple years," said Weaver. "And this car has great mechanical grip in the slower infield section and I think that should help us in race trim."<BR> Chris Dyson is enthusiastic about his first visit to the Phoenix circuit: "The guys say it's a pretty good layout, and I'm looking forward to getting back in the car."<BR> Action gets underway on the 1.51, 11-turn course on Thursday, with two official practice sessions.
