Bentley’s preparations for Le Mans hit a major set back last night after Eric Van De Poole had a huge moment during testing at Paul Ricard, France. The team were conducting a 24 hour test at the circuit to help with their preparations for the race in July when Van De Poole had the accident.
The race car came off the track with such force that the Bentley cleared the perimeter fence and road before finally coming to rest against a wall outside the circuit. The Prototype class Le Mans car is believed to have been destroyed though there was good news in that the driver walked away from the wreckage.
