Combined, the four regions account for over a third of the entire ITV network, reaching approximately 8.2 million homes across the UK.<BR> <BR> Last Sunday, 28th April, Granada was the first of the five regions to broadcast the previous weekend’s action form its local racetrack, Oulton Park. Meridian will broadcast footage from Brands Hatch and Thruxton later in the year. Anglia is planning to broadcast a support race highlights show directly after its Saturday afternoon British Touring Car Championship programme. Tyne Tees will broadcast Croft’s July race meeting.<BR> <BR> In addition, the entire ITV network is broadcasting a dedicated weekly night time motorsport magazine – also called Motorsport UK – exclusively featuring the British Touring Car Championship’s four core support championships: Senior Formula Ford Zetecs, Formula Renault and Elf Clio Renaultsport UK Cup and the Michelin Porsche Cup. Motorsport UK, 30 minutes in length, will run for 26 weeks. Depending on regional schedules, each programme will also be repeated across the majority of the ITV network on the following Sunday/Monday morning. <BR> <BR> Jim Raven, Managing Director of Granada Sport, commented: “I am delighted to have added coverage of the support races to the BTCC package we have already agreed, as I know they are the best championships of their kind in Britain and will provide highly entertaining programming for our viewers.
