Volvo look forward to Brno |
Hanson hopes for a change of fortune |

The Volvo S60 Racing Team is looking for another podium position this weekend at Brno in the Czech Republic.
Rickard Rydell took a third and a fourth at Silverstone two weeks ago. Both Rydell and James Hanson are looking for better performances this weekend following engine, set-up and gearbox tests to the car.
James Hanson suffered from a mysterious intermittent fault on his last outing that was traced to a blocked catalytic converter. Dave Benbow, Volvo S60 Racing, team principal said "I was very disappointed for James in particular that we were unable to locate the problem with his car on race day. It was subsequently identified in the workshop as one of those `one-in-a-million' circumstances that no amount of testing would have identified. We ran James and the car for a full day at Silverstone last Friday without a problem."
James Hanson was upbeat and showed improved confidence. Hanson said "I've tripled my amount of time in the car and am now beginning to scratch the surface of the car's potential. There's no reason why I shouldn't be a lot better than at Silverstone. I'm looking to qualify in the top ten and my target is to score points this weekend."
Rickard Rydell's thoughts have been of the circuit: "I've never been there so I'm studying tapes and plan to bike round the circuit on Friday. Hopefully it's not difficult to learn and we should have enough practice time to learn the track. We've made improvements but we know the others will have too. We'll see on Saturday if it's enough. I hope we should perform as well as at Silverstone if not better."
Dave Benbow added "I'm pleased with the progress that we've made since the last event, particularly on the gear-change mechanism that clearly showed improvements on the track. My goal for Brno is to get on the podium again, to have a trouble free weekend for James and ideally for him to pick up some points as well.".
