The Daytona Prototypes will be the premier class of the Rolex Sports Car Series in 2003. Crawford becomes the fourth car builder to have its chassis designs approved for construction, joining FABCAR Engineering, Doran Enterprises and Carbir Race Cars. <BR> <BR> "[Crawford Race Cars President] Max Crawford has been building and developing race cars for years. He truly grasp what it takes to be successful in endurance racing, and its good to see that he is putting that knowledge and experience to use in the Daytona Prototypes," remarked Mark Raffauf, Daytona Prototypes Project Manager. <BR> <BR> Crawford has an extensive automotive and racing resume dating back to 1966 in his homeland of New Zealand.
