“We can’t get Fluxie out of the car,” was Mike Millard’s main problem at Silverstone on November 17. His LM3000 was sharing the track with the shakedown runs of the new Panoz and a brand new Pilbeam, and the Rapier 6 was quickest of the three.
In damp conditions on the Club Circuit, Ian Flux set a best of 57.2, Mike Millard a 59.2. Problems with a flexing floor are close to being solved, and Millard’s outfit are planning a full FIA Sportscar season in 2001. MCT Engineering has had considerable interest from potential purchasers on both sides of the Atlantic, and Millard is hoping to enter at Daytona. |
