This text is couched in the vaguest terms for now, but so early in the off season, there is unlikely to be any hard and fast entry news.
TVR have long been known to be keen to run two Speed 12s, and suggestions have reached this office that the drivers are falling into place for the first of them. A newcomer to GT racing (but not sportscars – he’s a Champion already) is expected to occupy one seat, alongside one of the 2000 drivers.
A Porsche pilot was so impressed with Cor Euser’s Manatara at the Zandvoort 500 Kms, he could well be driving one throughout 2001.
Colin Blower is expected back next year, with possibly an unusual marque (for him).
Mike Youles isn’t expected to be associated with the BW Motorsport Porsche 996 GT2 in 2001. He’s exploring other options, but his first stop is likely to be at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, in a GT3R. |
