Homestead-Miami Speedway to Host Daytona Prototypes Test
Homestead-Miami Speedway will play host to test sessions exclusively for the Daytona Prototypes of the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series, December 19-20.
Approximately 13 Daytona Prototypes are expected to be at the test session, which will be the first chance for Rolex Series cars to take laps around Homestead-Miami Speedway's newly reconfigured racetrack.
It will also mark the first public test for several new Daytona Prototype teams, including Silverstone Racing's Chevrolet Chase CCE-001, Michael Shank Racing's Toyota Doran JE-4, The Spirit of Daytona's Chevrolet Crawford DP03, BOSS Motorsports' Chevrolet Crawford DP03 and a third Crawford race car.
Other Daytona Prototypes expected to be on hand include both of SpeedSource's Ford-powered Multimatics, PAP-Parts' BMW-engined FABCAR, the championship-winning Chevrolet Doran JE-4 of Bell Motorsports, three Porsche FABCARs from Brumos Racing and Cegwa Sports' Toyota FABCAR.
Race fans will have the opportunity to watch the test sessions free of charge from the fourth-floor club level of the front-stretch grandstands.
