The pair piloted TheRaceSite.com No. 44 Porsche 996 to victory, putting them and the team at the top of the driver and team standings.<BR> <BR> Guy Cosmo and Mark Plummer trail the leaders by three points following round one of the Grand-Am Cup Series. Cosmo and Plummer partnered for a second-place finish in the Daytona 250 in the BGB Motorsports No. 38 Porsche. Mike Cronin Jr. and Stu Haynor are tied five-points behind the Grand Sport leaders following their third-place finish in the Unitech Racing No. 33 Nissan 350Z.<BR> <BR> The 2003 Sport Touring champion, John Schmitt, got an early jump on his defense of the driver championship with a class victory with co-driver Mike Liebl at the Daytona 250. Schmitt and Liebl teamed in the Bill Fenton Motorsports No. 29 Acura RSX-S for the Sport Touring win that propelled them to the top of point standings.<BR> <BR> Steve Pfeffer and Tim Pappas took second-place in the Daytona 250, placing the duo and their Tuner Motorsports No. 97 BMW 330i three points down to the leaders after the first round. Anita Sangi and Neal Sapp picked up a third-place finish in the Sport Touring division in the TC Kline Racing No. 12 BMW Z4, putting them within five points of the leaders.<BR> <BR> <B>Grand-Am Cup Driver Point Standings</B><BR> <BR> The Grand-Am Cup Series awards points to drivers based upon their finish in their respective class. Although drivers may race in more than one class during a race, they are only awarded points in the first car they drive. Only drivers holding valid Grand American Road Racing Association memberships are awarded points.
