B&M Continues Relationship With Speed Touring Car Championship
B&M Racing & Performance Products, producers of high-quality shifters, torque converters, transmissions and other street and racing products, announced today the extension of its association with the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship through the 2004 season.
B&M will continue its support of the B&M Holeshot Award for the SCCA SPEED Touring Car Championship, offering $500 and a trophy to the driver that advances the most positions on the first lap of the race from their starting position. B&M will also maintain its presence on each SCCA SPEED Touring Car numberboard.
“We’ve enjoyed utilizing the SCCA SPEED Touring Car Championship as a vehicle to promote our products,” said Bob Ritzman, B&M Racing & Performance Products Vice President of Marketing. “Last year’s expansion of our program was beneficial to B&M Racing, and we’re happy to continue that relationship through the 2004 campaign.
In addition to its SCCA SPEED Touring Car programs, B&M will again offer contingency prizes to SPEED GT teams utilizing B&M products.
"B&M has been a great partner with the SCCA SPEED World Challenge through the years, and we’ve gained considerable exposure through our relationship," SCCA Pro Racing Vice President and General Manager Mitch Wright said. "Along with B&M, all of our sponsors have helped make the SCCA SPEED World Challenge the premier production-based road racing series in North America.”
