Three Cars in 2001 |
|
Laurence Pearce put 2000 behind him at the FIA Awards Ceremony on Friday, and now he’s happy to announce that Jamie Campbell-Walter will be partnered by Ian McKellar, Julian Bailey has a yet to be announced partner, with the third car again to be driven by Nicolaus Springer and Philippe Favre.
Lister Cars would willingly produce more cars for customers, but as they can’t build any more cars in the time available before the start of the season, suggestions from officialdom that they will have to provide six are wide of the mark. It’s not possible.
McKellar drove for the team in the GT1 car at Spa two years ago, and Scania are likely to play a prominent role among the signwriting on the JC-W / IMcK entry.
Perhaps those in charge want six or more Listers on the grid, but would that even up the competition?
