Boris Said Two For Two At Infineon
Boris Said backed up his quick time in first-round practice early this morning by topping Saturday’s mid-morning second-round practice for the Trans-Am 100 at Infineon Raceway. Said (No. 33 Applied Computer Solutions Ford Mustang) turned in a 1:14.003-minute lap at 95.737 miles per hour, practicing for Round 3 of the Motorock Trans-Am Series championship.
Tomy Drissi moved up four spots from first-round practice to second in the No. 5 AVP-Alien Versus Predator Only in Theatres Jaguar XKR, ahead of Greg Pickett (No. 6 Cytomax Jaguar XKR). Tommy Kendall (No. 11 Jaguar R Performance XKR) and Randy Ruhlman (No. 49 Preformed Line Products Chevrolet Corvette) completed the top five.
Qualifying is scheduled for today at 3:30 p.m. The Trans-Am 100 is scheduled to start at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, immediately following the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series event.
