The race is part of the NASCAR Nextel Cup Pepsi 400 and is scheduled to take the green flag immediately following Nextel Cup qualifying on Thursday night.<BR> <BR> The sponsorship is for this event only but could be expanded to additional events in 2004 as Pagsta familiarizes itself with marketing its brand in the motorsports arena, one that they have identified as a viable platform to market its line of products.<BR> <BR> “We are very excited about sponsoring the Spirit of Daytona Racing team at Daytona International Speedway,” said Edward L. Cain, Chairman/CEO of Pagsta International. “We were in Daytona Beach for bike week earlier this year and met a lot of the motorsports fans that were recently there for the Rolex 24 At Daytona that showed an interest in our smaller motorcycles that appeal to all ages. We decided we wanted to establish a presence at the next event at Daytona to showcase our products to the loyal fan base that follows sports car racing.” <BR> <BR> “We are pleased to announce that Pagsta Motorcycles headquartered in Irvine, Calif. has become the primary sponsor of our team for the Paul Revere 250,” said Troy Flis, co-owner/team manager of Spirit of Daytona Racing. “Pagsta Motorcycles manufacturer smaller class motorcycles in the 49cc, 97cc, 125cc, 150cc and 250cc engine sizes and we are pleased that they chose to market their brand in the Rolex Sports Car Series at our home track.<BR> <BR> “We have been working very hard to prepare our car for this event, the second event at Daytona International Speedway for us this year and run entirely under the lights. We learned a lot about the balance of the car when we were here in February and we have recently tested here to continue the development process of the Crawford DP 03 Daytona Prototype.”<BR> <BR> “I want to thank Pagsta for coming on board and supporting our team this weekend,” said Doug Goad, owner/driver of Spirit of Daytona Racing. “Like Pagsta, we are a new team this year in the Daytona Prototype class and as we develop our program in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series they are developing their brand in the motorcycle industry simultaneously so there are a lot of synergies to us working together in a marketing capacity.”<BR> <BR> Spirit of Daytona Racing is looking forward to returning to Daytona International Speedway, which is its home track.
