Morgan Works Team Manager Steps Down
David Dowse has stepped down as Team Manager with the Morgan Works Race Team following the completion of the Le Mans 24 Hours Race in June.
Appointed by the Morgan board to head up a Works team after a private Le Mans Morgan entry was prematurely curtailed in 2002, David had steered the Team through a series of major hurdles on their route back to the world’s most famous race.
“Since December 2002, my goal was always simply to get a Morgan team back to Le Mans, and finish the whole 24 hours. It was a very long, hard road, but with the tremendous help of a great many people that ambition was finally achieved in June. There are way too many names to mention individually, but I want to say a very special thank you to the best technical team in the world. They are quite simply awesome people,” he comments.
“It’s time now for me to move on to other projects, and to hand over the operational reins to others. It has been a great privilege to be a part of this legendary adventure, and I wish the team the very best of luck going forward.”
