Soper For Peugeot |
With Neal And Eaves |
|
|
After a highly successful 1999 with BMW and their V12LMR in the ALMS, then virtually taking a year off in 2000, Steve Soper returns to his roots with a drive heading the line-up in the Peugeot 406 Coupes in the Touring class of the BTCC. He will have Matt Neal and Dan Eaves as his partners, in what looks like a perfect combination of youth and experience.
He’ll be facing front wheel drive for the first time in a long while, but the arch professional will undoubtedly get around that very quickly. This news means that Soper is back with Vic Lee, for whom he drove in ’91 and ’92.
Neal’s works drive is his reward for years of privateer endeavour and no little success, while Dan Eaves moves up from the National Saloon series and his 306 (seen flying at Brands Hatch).
