Kendall Inherits Pole As Qualifying Is Cancelled
Field Is Set By Practice Times At Trois-Rivières
This afternoon’s Motorock Trans-Am Series qualifying session at Le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, which was postponed from this morning due to inclement weather, was canceled due to rain. The session was run as a practice. The field was set by the fastest times earned in the four practice sessions, placing Tommy Kendall (No. 11 Jaguar R Performance XKR) on the pole, his 43rd in Trans-Am competition.
Paul Gentilozzi will roll off second in tomorrow’s race in the No. 3 Jaguar R Performance XKR, ahead of Tomy Drissi (No. 5 TAXI – The Movie Jaguar XKR). Canadian Ron Fellows (No. 40 Derhaag Motorsports Chevrolet Corvette) and Jorge Diaz, Jr. (No. 8 Puerto Rico Grand Prix Jaguar XKR) will start fourth and fifth, respectively.
Due to the cancellation of qualifying, no bonus points were awarded.
Just three cars took to the track during the rainy practice session with John Baucom (No. 86 Softwaretoolbox.com/diecastregistry.com Ford Mustang). Baucom’s time was 1:22.280 (66.548 miles per hour).
