PRIVILEGE INSURANCE BRITISH GT CHAMPIONSHIP |

NINE TVRs |
In GT and GTO next year |

Look out Porsche.
TVR have already sold five Tuscan Rs for the GTO class next year, and a factory entry makes six. Martin Short's Cerbera Speed Six makes the seventh, and then there's the GT class.......which should see two Speed 12s run by the factory. "Next year is going to be an amazing season for TVR," said a spokesman at the Motor Show.
So seven of the Blackpool machines in GTO and two in GT. Has Marcos' success produced this response? The 2001 Privilege Championship is already looking as though it will have a superb line-up. And it's only October! Perhaps once a Championship reaches a certain point, its growth is exponential. Certainly the difference between late 2000 and late 1999 is staggering. Who is going to predict the size of the grid at the first round?
A response from Porsche is awaited with interest. It probably won't be long coming.... |
