Carsport Viper Test |
Sequential Going Well |

December 22 saw Mike Hezemans test the new sequential gearbox in one of the team’s Vipers, at his home track, Zandvoort (exiting the Tarzan Hairpin, above). The test apparently went smoothly, with 42 laps completed. The lever was too far back and too low, but this will be corrected before another test in the second week of January.
A total of 50 modifications are planned by the team before they embark on a full two car FIA GT campaign. All the changes should be ready for testing in late February. Having come so close to overall championship success in 2000, it seems that no opportunity to increase the Viper’s performance will be missed.
