Laurent Duquesne provides these details regarding likely entries for the FFSA GT Championship in France.
The JMB-Giesse team envisage entering one Ferrari 360 Modena N-GT for Peter Kutemann.
The Red Racing 550 Maranello (now called 550 GT) comes back for a full participation (photo, above). The team is still developing the car. According to Jacques Fournier-Laroque, boss of the team, the 550 GT will be lighter this year thanks to both carbon and plastic use. The ‘Red’ men intend to reach 1230 kg instead of the current 1300 kg.
A Lister Storm was a possibility at one time, but that almost certainly won’t now happen.
No less than six Vipers should be entered this year:
One or two for D.D.O. ( Dominique Dupuy - François Fiat). This team will run in the Spanish GT series too.
The Italian MAC Racing team, which ran with Porsches for two years, will now race two Vipers.
One entry from Hans Hugenholtz (Racing Team Holland).
Hans Durr, Alméras Frères team driver in 2000, is eager to race with a Corvette. This not thought to be a C5R.
VBM, which won its first race at Nogaro last September, continue with one car. The team, managed by Patrick Bornhauser, has sold two cars, one to a team located at Chartres, with the second under construction.
SCORP Motorsport will enter their 911 GT3-R for Luis Marquès and Cathy Caly (French Porsche Carrera Cup driver in 2000). Marquès also has plans for the FIA GT Championship and Le Mans.
So as in the Privilege and FIA GT Championships, numbers look to be growing and the racing should be terrific.
