Regulation Changes |

The changes in the regulations as the series develops into its new FIA format are currently as simple as shown in the text above. There seems to be no mention of roll hoop changes in the technical regulations on the SRWC website.
James Davies looked a little harder than the Editor and found that "- For cars built before 01/01/2002:
If articles 15.4.2 and 15.4.3 are not complied with, except with regard to the height, cars will nevertheless be accepted."
Articles 15.4.2 and 15.4.3 specify that the roll hoop has to be symmetric, have a minimum width, height, diagonal bracing, etc., basically all the features of a full-width hoop.
So it appears that at least for this year, they will allow single hoop cars to compete as long as the roll-over structure has passed the FIA load test.
