CHAMBERLAIN |
Not their day in Germany |
|
Michael Webb - Chamberlain Chief Mechanic: "I cannot remember having three pit-stops and changing tyres in all of them before 20 minutes had gone in a race. We could not have got things more wrong.
Toni Seiler: "Today I make a big mistake, in fact many. I think it would have been better if we had made the car for the wet, but overall I think it's better to forget the weekend."
Walter Brun: "The car was perfect on Friday and Saturday but difficult in the wet. For sure I made a mistake, but no so big as Toni coming in for wets when it is dry and slicks when it rains! I suppose I am happy he said sorry. Today was definitely not our day."
Walter Brun ended up in the gravel, the story going that he was rather blunt with the marshals as they helped him out - to an extent that the car was black flagged a couple of laps later. When it's not your day....... |
