Sign Muller (D) and Ekblom |

It won’t just be fascinating to see how JJ Lehto and Jörg Müller fare in a Schnitzer M3 – equally interesting will be to see the old hands up against Dirk Müller and Fredrik Ekblom.
Müller has been forecast to sign for a week or more, but Ekblom’s name has cropped up only this week. The 30 year old Swede is highly experienced and very quick. His F3000 talent suggested that an F1 career was likely, but he side-stepped into Indycars and then into Sportscars, for Courage and Nissan.
He and Dirk Müller could well give Jorg and JJ a hard time – and bring out the best from the senior pair. "This team and these drivers are top notch," says BMW Motorsport Director Gerhard Berger.
"The (V8) M3 is a new evolution and we're working flat out on it," says BMW Motorsport Director Dr. Mario Theissen. "However, due to our somewhat late decision," he adds, "we won't be able to engage this car in the first race (at Texas) on March 4th."
PTG’s cars are being built alongside the Schnitzer M3s.
